Time to time, I begin to write notes for a theory of semantics. I believe it has some set of novel ideas which can be used against anything goes attitude in the current climate, though I see it's becoming harder to compose them if I aim to write a complete thesis. Instead, I'll cover the related topics in shorter posts here and hope they'll become a set of publishable content in time.

The questions I'll investigate is more or less about interpretation of symbols, semiotics, linguistic interpretation and environs. I have no academic aspirations left and these are rather like notes to myself. I'm trying to understand/theorize/describe models on the nature of interpretation.

I may do some readings from Eco, Derrida or computational semantics literature but the most of these notes will be in classical philosophical style. I'll discuss the problems rather than other people's outlook to them.
